Wines of Ventoux: capturing Provence’s identity in White, Red, and Rosé

An exceptional vineyard reflecting the character of the land

The deep connection between the vine and Mont Ventoux stretches back to Roman times. The foothills and slopes of this limestone giant cradle a remarkable vineyard that showcases a preserved terroir and exceptional biodiversity at the heart of Provence. In this Mediterranean microclimate, characterised by abundant sunshine and gentle breezes, the vines thrive in a perfect balance of light and warmth, enjoying cool nights at altitude. The wines of Ventoux—whether red, white, or rosé—offer a diverse array of flavours and a distinctive character that reflects the richness of their native soils.

The AOC Ventoux

In the wine landscape of the Vaucluse, the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) Ventoux stands as an essential reference, showcasing a rich history and a shared passion for winemaking. The AOC designation in France guarantees that wines are produced in a specific geographic area, adhering to strict quality and production standards. Established in 1973, the AOC Ventoux is rooted in the region’s centuries-old traditions, embodying the commitment of winemakers to preserve the authenticity and excellence of their products. The wines are crafted from a blend of various grape varieties: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault for reds and rosés, while Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Roussanne are used for white wines. For wine enthusiasts, the Ventoux vineyard offers a true sensory odyssey, inviting visitors to discover the essence of a land where wine reigns supreme.
