Rising majestically to the west of Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail are natural sculptures carved by time and erosion. This unique site, literally translated as "the Lace of Montmirail", reflects the delicate, lace-like appearance of the jagged rock formations. At an altitude of 732 metres, the Saint Amand ridge offers breathtaking views over a stunning landscape where forests and rocky peaks embrace the vineyards below.

The landscape of the Dentelles de Montmirail

This grand mountain arc, with its elegantly chiselled silhouette, reveals three parallel chains of limestone rock. The Clapis chain features three segments known as the Grand Montmirail, La Salle, and the Saint-Christophe rock. In the centre lies the Dentelles Sarrasines, while to the north, the Grand Travers chain boasts the highest peak of the site, the Saint Amand ridge.

Mediterranean vegetation flourishes on the mountain, displaying a vibrant palette of colours throughout the seasons. Pine forests, oak groves, and aromatic herbs perfume the trails. The vineyards on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail further enhance the scenery, producing exceptional wines.

An outdoor paradise

The exceptional environment of the Dentelles de Montmirail transforms the area into an open-air playground! Adventurers and nature lovers can indulge in outdoor activities all year round. The rugged, jagged cliffs are a magnet for climbers, while miles of trails invite hikers and trail enthusiasts to explore the region.
