Bédoin: the ridges of Mont Ventoux

This high-altitude hike winds between summit ridges, scree and beech forests. A summary of the “Giant of Provence”!

Description

Cross the road to join the path to the right of the restaurant. Continue the climb to the ridge at the place called “Le Signal” (1608 m).
1- Go left towards the summit, following the ridge.  
2- At the “Tête de la Grave” (1625 m) turn left towards “Serres Gros” via the rocky path. After a few dozen meters, turn left. 
3 -At “Serres-Gros” (1402 m), go down the winding path on the right. Then continue for 4 km to reach “l'Epaulement de La Frache” (1400 m).
4 - Turn right onto the track which rises gently.
5 - At the crossroads of “Baraque d'Aurel” (1441 m), turn right towards the summit. After 500 m, follow the path on the left to “Pas de la Frache”.
6 - Cross the road and continue through the forest.
7 - At the entrance to the “Combe Brune” (1600 m), go down on the left. After 270 m, go back down the track on the left to reach the Chalet Renard.
