As you ascend, take a moment to appreciate...
Mont Ventoux, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and part of the European Natura 2000 network. It's truly magical! Your journey begins amid Mediterranean vegetation, where you'll encounter garrigue, evergreen oaks, kermes oaks, cade junipers, Aleppo pines, and black Austrian pines. As you climb higher, the landscape transforms into a beech grove, dotted with boxwood, juniper, serviceberry, and aspic lavender, before giving way to forests of beech, fir, and Scots pine. At the summit, the scree slopes provide a habitat for rare plants, including the Greenland poppy and De Candolle's Iberis.
